Mr. Shashikant D. Sable

Managing Trustee - Chairman

Mr. Shashi Sable is a dedicated and accomplished professional known for his compassion towards mankind. With a reputation for excellence and a passion for deprived children, Mr. Shashi has consistently demonstrated leadership, integrity, and innovation throughout his career. Eventually, his goal is to establish a multispeciality hospital that will provide free healthcare to the underprivileged sections of society. A brief note from our Managing Trustee... It breaks my heart to see innocent children suffering due to poverty and neglect. While some children grow up with love, warmth, and opportunities, others are left to struggle for the most basic needs—food, shelter, and education. No child should have to go to sleep hungry, barefoot on the streets, or without a comforting hand to guide them. Their eyes often hold stories of pain far beyond their years, and yet, many still carry a glimmer of hope. It's deeply saddening to witness such inequality. Every child deserves a chance—a chance to dream, to learn, to be cared for. It hurts to know that while we move through our busy lives, countless children are battling hardships they never asked for. We must not close our eyes to their suffering. A kind word, a helping hand, a small act of charity—these things can light up their world. Let’s not forget them. Let’s feel their pain, and more importantly, do something about it.

We are pleased to report the successful execution of the Oral Cancer Awareness and Screening Camp held in Mahim on 13th April 2025. The initiative was led by Dr. Akansha Kandoi, a distinguished specialist in oral health and oncology, and aimed at promoting early detection and raising public awareness about oral cancer—a preventable yet potentially life-threatening disease. Camp Highlights • Comprehensive Screenings Conducted: A total of 12 individuals from the local community underwent oral cancer screenings. The focus was on identifying early symptoms, which are often asymptomatic or overlooked in the initial stages. • Facilitated Access to Care: The patient diagnosed with oral cancer has been offered free treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, one of India’s foremost cancer care institutions. The hospital has generously committed to conducting the necessary surgical procedures at no cost, thereby eliminating financial barriers to care and ensuring the patient receives timely and quality treatment. Community Education and Engagement Beyond clinical assessments, the camp placed a strong emphasis on awareness-building and preventive education: • Participants were educated on the risk factors associated with oral cancer, including tobacco and alcohol use, poor oral hygiene, and dietary habits. • Information sessions highlighted the significance of routine oral check-ups, self-examinations, and early reporting of symptoms such as persistent mouth sores or lumps. • Informational materials and one-on-one consultations were provided to reinforce healthy lifestyle choices and encourage proactive health-seeking behavior. Acknowledgements We extend our sincere appreciation to: • Dr. Akansha Kandoi, for her expert guidance, dedication, and commitment to public health. • Tata Memorial Hospital, for their continued support and generosity in offering life-saving care to patients in need. • All community participants, whose involvement reflects an encouraging step toward cultivating a more health-aware society. Looking Forward This initiative underscores our commitment to early detection, accessible healthcare, and community empowerment. We aim to conduct regular screening and awareness camps across more regions in the future, ensuring broader reach and deeper impact. Together, we can make significant strides in preventing oral cancer through education, early intervention, and equitable healthcare access.
